Sitemap Auditor & Generator

Audit your sitemap, or build a new one.

Technical SEO

Enter a domain and the sitemap is found for you through robots.txt, following a sitemap index down to its child files. It is checked against the sitemap protocol — the 50,000 URL ceiling, W3C lastmod format, valid changefreq and priority, cross-domain URLs, and duplicates. Then a spread of the URLs is actually opened to compare what the sitemap claims with what the server returns: which are dead, which redirect, and which carry noindex or are blocked by robots.txt despite being listed. Below it sits a sitemap generator that builds the sitemap index for you when there are too many URLs for one file.

Enter a domain and the sitemap is found for you through robots.txt. You can also paste a sitemap address directly. A sitemap index is followed down to its child files.

sitemap.xml generator

Paste a list of URLs and get a sitemap ready to upload. Assembled in your browser, no quota used. If there are more URLs than fit in one file, the sitemap index is built too.

One URL per line, complete with https://. Blank lines, duplicates, and anything that is not a URL are skipped.

Google ignores it; some other engines still read it.

Just leave it empty. A uniform value communicates nothing.

Only fill this in when the date is genuinely right — a lying lastmod is worse than none.

The protocol limit is 50,000. Lower it if the file gets too large.
